Analysis begins with events, not labels

“Tail moved,” “ears rotated” and “the cat stepped away after a hand approached” are observations. “Annoyed” is an interpretation. A responsible analyzer preserves that difference. It can mark posture, direction, repetition, sound and changes in the scene, then ask which explanations fit the sequence.

This matters because the same crouch can occur during stalking, uncertainty or discomfort. The seconds before and after it often carry more information than the pose alone.

What a useful result should contain

  • the visible or audible evidence;
  • the recording context and important missing information;
  • more than one plausible explanation when signals overlap;
  • a confidence level that can fall when evidence is weak;
  • a clear boundary between behavioural observation and medical diagnosis.

If a tool jumps straight from one tail flick to a precise sentence, it has skipped the difficult part.

Where CatMind AI fits

CatMind AI analyses a short natural video as a sequence. Video, audio, movement, posture, visible facial and ear cues, scene context and the cat’s profile can support one another without any single cue becoming a verdict.

Better question

Do not ask only “What label did the analyzer choose?” Ask “Which observations support it, what else could explain them, and what would change the conclusion?”
