Curiosity
A question worth asking
Could multiple signals reveal more than a meow viewed in isolation?
The story behind CatMind.ai
CatMind.ai began with a simple question: if artificial intelligence can find patterns across complex signals, why should understanding a cat depend on a single meow, one pose, or a human guess?
Why we started
While exploring the market and reviewing the tools available to cat owners, we saw a clear gap: plenty of products could detect a sound, track an animal, or offer a quick label, but very few tried to examine behaviour as a connected moment across video, audio, movement, posture and personal context.
Conversations and informal surveys with people who share their homes with cats kept returning to the same need. They did not want a novelty translator. They wanted help noticing patterns, understanding what the system observed, and seeing why one explanation may fit better than another.
The people behind CatMind.ai had already spent years building AI platforms. We brought that experience into a more personal challenge: creating a transparent, cat-focused system that treats every result as evidence to consider, not certainty about an animal's thoughts or feelings.

Research
Existing tools rarely connected visible behaviour, sound and individual context.
Listening
Cat owners valued useful observations and understandable reasoning over confident guesses.
Building
AI platform experience became an evidence-aware system designed around real moments.
More than a single AI guess
CatMind separates observable behaviour from possible interpretation, keeps alternative explanations visible, and lowers confidence when the available evidence is weak.
Visual behaviour
CatMind examines observable patterns across the recording instead of treating one frame as the complete answer.
Posture and movement
Tracked motion, pose and conservative facial, ear and tail-related cues help describe what is visibly happening.
Vocalisation and audio
Cat-like vocal evidence and environmental sounds can contribute, while weak or unrelated audio is kept out of the conclusion.
Profile and confirmed history
Owner-confirmed examples can gradually add personal context, but they never override weak or conflicting evidence in the current video.
A careful answer can be no answer
When the available evidence is too weak, incomplete or conflicting, the platform can abstain from a specific interpretation and explain what limited the result.
Responsible infrastructure
All CatMind GPU and storage infrastructure operates on 100% renewable energy, sourced from our own solar production and supplemented by wind energy from our trusted green-energy partner.
